Mobile Marketing
What media is the most readily available to most of your customers 24/7? Cell phones. Sending your marketing message directly to your customers’ cell phones has the highest response rate of any type of advertising. One of the quickest and most effective ways to attract prospects and get more business is with an effective mobile media campaign.
Who should use mobile marketing?
How about anyone with a customer list? Mobile marketing is becoming one of the most effective ways of staying in front of your customers. Getting new customers is hard, but once you have them you should be doing all that is possible to monetize them to the greatest degree possible. Mobile marketing should be a part of your internet marketing presence.
Statistics show approximately 60% of emails are opened while approximately 90% of text messages are opened. Therefore, if you desire to have your message seen by the biggest percentage of your customers as possible, mobile marketing is a method you should utilize.
Mobile marketing is particularly good at reaching customers who have already tried your goods and services at least once. Assuming a customer likes your goods and services, they will not be “put off” by receiving notice of bargains you are offering. Mobile marketing also provides the opportunity to offer very tangible value to the customer in exchange for their contact information. You can then notify your customer base via their cell phone when you have discounts available. This strategy has proven to turn slow nights for a restaurant into packed houses and make sales for retail stores explode.
How does mobile marketing work?
The easiest example is in the restaurant business. Almost every restaurant you see has some display on your table to inform you of specials. This display can be used to request the customer to text a word to your number in return for a discount on the meal they are eating, or a future meal. The customer then shows the return text to when they pay their check and they have instant gratification and you now have their number in your database for future promotions. You now have the opportunity to inform your customer base of your nightly specials. You should never bombard your customers, but few will complain about hearing your specials once or twice a week.
Mobile marketing is also becoming a major component of social media marketing. More people are using their mobile devices to engage on social platforms and an amazing opportunity is being presented to the business owner to engage with their potential customers there.
